1. What products do you offer?
We offer winter sleep suits, winter sleep sacks, summer sleep suits and summer sleep sacks, as well as a white noise machine designed to help create a calm and consistent sleep environment for little ones.
2. What is a sleep suit or sleep sack?
A sleep suit or sleep sack is a wearable blanket designed to keep babies and toddlers warm, safe, and comfortable throughout the night — without loose blankets. Our sleep suits have separate legs for active toddlers who like to move.
3. What makes Biggie Smalls products different?
All Biggie Smalls products are designed by a mom who couldn’t find exactly what she needed for her own child, so she created a range based on real-life parenting experience and practical sleep knowledge. Our winter sleep suits and sleep sacks are warm, breathable, and made for movement, while our summer sleep suits and summer sleep sacks are crafted from premium bamboo cotton that helps keep babies and toddlers cool while naturally wicking away moisture during warmer nights.
4. What’s the difference between winter and summer sleep suits?
Winter sleep suits feature soft insulated layers and are approximately 2.5 TOG, ideal for cooler rooms (16–20°C).
Summer sleep suits and summer sleep sacks are 0.5 TOG, lightweight and breathable — perfect for warmer South African climates.
5. Are your sleep suits safe for sleep?
Yes. They replace loose blankets, helping reduce the risk of suffocation while keeping your child covered and cozy all night long.
6. Can my toddler walk in the sleep suit?
Yes. Our suits have separate legs so toddlers can stand, walk, or crawl comfortably.
7. How do I choose the right size?
Check our size chart below and measure your child’s height and chest. If unsure, we recommend sizing up slightly for comfort and room to grow.
Winter Sleep Sacks & Suits
0–6 months: Shoulder to hem 60cm, chest 26cm, neck opening 8.5cm
6–12 months: Shoulder to hem 82cm, chest 32cm, neck opening 11cm
1–2 years: Shoulder to ankle 74cm, chest 38cm, neckline to end of sleeve 37cm
2–3 years: Shoulder to ankle 82cm, chest 40cm, neckline to end of sleeve 40cm
Summer Sleep Sacks & Suits
0–6 months: Shoulder to hem 74cm, chest 33cm
6–18 months: Shoulder to hem 92cm, chest 36cm
18–36 months: Shoulder to ankle 78cm, chest 40cm
8. What materials are used?
Winter suits use a breathable cotton-blend outer with gentle insulation to keep little ones warm without overheating.
Summer suits and sacks are made from premium bamboo cotton, designed to stay cool, soft, and moisture-wicking for hot nights.
9. How does the white noise machine help?
Our white noise machine creates a consistent, soothing sound environment that helps babies settle faster, sleep longer, and block out background noise at home or while travelling.
10. Are the products easy to care for?
Yes. Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle and line dry. Avoid tumble drying or ironing insulated inner layers.
11. Can sleep suits be layered with pajamas?
Yes — simply adjust what your child wears underneath based on the room temperature.
12. Do you ship across South Africa and offer returns?
Yes. We offer nationwide delivery (2–5 working days). Returns are accepted within 14 days if items are unused and in original condition, and we’re happy to assist with sizing exchanges.
